Natural Stone Sculptures, Apex
Location: Rt. 55, Apex
Event Dates: 9/22/2009 - 9/22/2009
Reception: • 9am - 12 pm

Tuesday 9am - Noon

Natural Stone Sculptures Japanese demo garden is located on Highway 55, just north of Hwy 64. Much of the garden is shaded. A bathroom will be available. There are stone lanterns, birdbaths, water basins, benches, dry creek beds, stone sculptures, a Japanese tea house and many other garden features.

To see photos, go to http://www.naturalstonesculptures.com/apex.htm. For more information about artist/sculptor/owner Phil Hathcock, go to www.philhathcock.com.

From Hwy 64:

Take 55 north toward Durham. Go past Vision Drive (service station on the right) and Jenks Road (Food Lion on the left). Just past the stoplight at Jenks Road, get in the center turn lane. (You will see a Southern States Family Farm Supply garden center. The sculpture garden is on the left across the road from the garden center. It is surrounded by woods so it’s not visible from the highway. There are 2 gravel driveways; the first one may be closed off. Take the second entrance. Once you turn into the driveway, you will see a white RV. Take the very next left (before you get to the RV). Park in the sculpture yard lot so we can keep most of the area around the office open for painting. Watch out for the boulders!

From I-40:

Take 55 south (toward Apex). When you see Southern States Family Farm Supply on your left, the sculpture garden is directly across from it. Take the first gravel driveway. (If you get to the stoplight at Jenks Road, you've gone just a little too far.) Once you turn into the driveway, you will see a white RV. Take the very next left (before you get to the RV). Park in the sculpture yard lot so we can keep most of the area around the office open for painting. Watch out for the boulders!

Paint Around; Nathalie's Studio; Pittsboro
Location: 1434 Farrington Road
Event Dates: 8/11/2009 - 8/11/2009
Reception: •

When it's too hot outside to paint, we head into Nathalie's nice air conditioned studio and do a 'paint around.' We'll each take a turn painting on several canvases that will be set up around the room. Then we'll auction these paintings off and our next exhibit. Last year's paint around paintings helped pay for our website and business cards - plus it was just a lot of fun! You're welcome to bring your own paintings to work on also.
